Technical FAQs

1. Can you support formulation or application testing?

Yes. We provide application engineering support, including product selection, dispersion guidance, and coating process recommendations.

If needed, we can review your KPI targets such as Color Density, gloss, dry time, sharpness, and durability.

We strictly protect customer formulations and technical information. Any data or samples shared for evaluation will be treated as confidential and used only for technical support purposes.

2. Can you customize specifications?

Yes. For long-term cooperation, we can discuss customization such as particle size distribution, surface properties, slurry concentration, and dispersion behavior.

Customization feasibility depends on the application targets and stable manufacturing requirements.

3. How do you ensure batch consistency?

We control key parameters across raw materials, processing, and final QC.

Each batch is tested and recorded to ensure stable performance in coating and ink-receptive layer applications.

4. How does boehmite improve inkjet print quality?

Boehmite can form a porous ink-receptive layer with controlled ink absorption.

This helps improve Color Density, sharpness, dot control, and dry time, while maintaining process stability.

5. Can boehmite improve both gloss and ink absorption?

Yes, depending on grade selection and coating structure.

Some grades are optimized for high-gloss surfaces, while others focus on high ink load and fast ink fixation.

We recommend selecting the grade based on your target media type and KPI priorities.

6. Is boehmite compatible with water-based inkjet systems?

Yes. Boehmite materials are widely used in water-based inkjet coatings.

We can support compatibility selection based on binders, additives, and dispersion systems.

7. Can boehmite reduce coat weight while keeping performance?

In many systems, yes. By improving ink reception efficiency, boehmite can help achieve similar print KPIs with optimized coat weight.

This supports cost-down strategies while maintaining quality.

8. Does boehmite help reduce smearing and improve rub resistance?

Boehmite helps inks dry faster and fix more effectively in the coating layer, which reduces smearing.

Rub resistance depends on the full coating system (binder/topcoat), and we can advise on the layer design.

9. Is boehmite eco-friendly and energy-saving for inkjet and imaging media applications?

Inkjet printing is widely recognized as a more sustainable route compared with many traditional processes, especially when combined with water-based systems.

Boehmite-based ink-receptive layers can support faster ink fixation and drying, reducing rework and waste and improving production efficiency.

We can recommend grades suitable for water-based coating formulations and high-efficiency ink absorption.

Ordering & Supply FAQs

1. What is your MOQ?

MOQ depends on the product grade, packaging type, and destination.
For most standard grades, the MOQ is typically one pallet or one ton-level order.
Please contact us for the exact MOQ for your target grade and shipping route.

2. What is the typical lead time?

Lead time depends on the grade and order volume. For most standard grades, lead time is typically 7–15 working days. Please confirm for your specific order.

3. How is the product packaged?

We offer standard export packaging to ensure safe transport and stable quality.
Typical options include 25 kg bags, bulk packaging, and sealed drums/IBC for slurry products.
Packaging can be customized based on your handling and filling requirements.

4. What documents can you provide?

We can provide TDS and COA as standard. Other documents can be arranged based on market requirements and customer needs.
